Here comes the bride, tired and worn, stressed and overburdened. This will be you if you try to plan your wedding all by yourself. Do not do it alone. Seek the assistance of family and friends. Loose you stubborn pride. The result will be a stress free joyful experience for both you and hubby.
Financing The Wedding
A wedding can be a nightmare financially. The old adage that the bride’s parents should fork out the green is old fashion and sexist in the least. The new way is to seek financial assistance through family and friends. Let them take part in your big day. Let them contribute to your happiness. The only drawback is they might have a say in how your wedding will turn out.
Your Wedding Invitations
Wedding invitations are an important part of planning a wedding. Do not just invite whomever to your big day. It is too much of a risk, a roll of the dice, a cross your fingers situation.
You do not want some stranger ruining your big day. Keep it simple. Invite guests and allow them to bring their significant other. The only exception would be a friend that won’t know anyone at the wedding.
Wedding Gifts
What about wedding gifts? Your guests do not know what to buy, so register for some things you and hubby want. Do not limit yourself to a toaster and bread maker.
Ask and you shall receive. Do not limit yourself to house wares. Chances are you already have dishes and cups. Get a new pair of skiis, or a hotel reservation in Vegas. The sky is the limit.
The Wedding Dress
The wedding dress, the centerpiece of your wedding. What to wear? What color? What fashion statement? Many things to consider, but only you can decide. Do not limit yourself to traditional white. Do not be plain Jane. It is outdated. It is old fashioned.
Be bold. Be creative. Look through magazines. Visit wedding dress stores. Get ideas. Try on dresses. Pick three you like. Ask your most trusted advisers which you should go with.
