Dana White And The UFC

Monday, December 7th, 2009

Ultimate Fighting Championship or more commonly known as UFC is fast becoming one of the most recognized sports in the world. They show live shows in over 50 countries ranging from the U.S to Australia. The sport is taking off in such a way no one would have expected. It’s amazing to look back just a few years ago to when the UFC was barely known.

So how did this transformation take place? It seems quite impossible! It mostly took off due to Dana White and the majority owners Fertitta brothers backing. Dana White has turned out to be the Messiah of MMA he has almost single handedly made MMA as popular as it is today. Did you know that Dana was born in Manchester, Connecticut? White grew up in Las Vegas, Boston and Levant, Maine. White is a fierce Boston Red Sox fan. During his youth, he bounced back and forth between Las Vegas and Maine. He attended college in Boston for two years but did not finish; however, while there he did launch a boxing program for inner-city children.

White has a background as an aerobics instructor. In’92, White established Dana White Enterprises in Las Vegas. He conducted aerobics classes at three gyms in the Las Vegas area and began managing MMA fighters Tito Ortiz and Chuck Liddell.

While working as a manager, White learned that Semaphore Entertainment Group, the parent company of the UFC, was looking for a buyer for the UFC. White contacted childhood friend Lorenzo Fertitta, an executive at Station Casinos, and a former commissioner of the Nevada State Athletic Commission. Within a month, Lorenzo and his older brother Frank bought the UFC, with White installed as its president. White currently owns 10% of Zuffa, LLC, the entity the Fertitta brothers created to own and manage the UFC.

One of the best things Dana has done for the UFC is produce the show “TUF” (The Ultimate Fighter) on Spike TV. This show has taken off in a big way! It’s also helped a lot of people understand the sport more. From what fighters go through training wise to see that they’re actually very normal well educated people, not just barbarians as a lot of people thought.

The UFC continues to grow at an alarming rate and with no end in sight, I see this sport being in the top 3 favorites of the American people within 5 years.

Healing From Smart Liposuction Alternative Operation

Friday, December 4th, 2009

Liposuction is a procedure that is offered on a daily basis in the US, and one that often entails supplementary procedures to do away with extra skin left over when a mass of fat is surgically removed from under the skin. For many patients, liposuction can be a painful experience, but there is a new lipo surgery on the market, SmartLipo, or also generally called “laser liposuction”. Hailed as a medical marvel by many people, SmartLipo is changing lives each day for individuals who are laboring with spare fat tissue that seems to not come off with dieting and working out. SmartLipo delivers on what it states it will do, and that is take out fat tissue effortlessly.

Traditional Liposuction – Invasive and Dicey

Even though the operation is performed often, the practice is quite invasive, & the result of the fat tissue removal is in the hands of the doctor, quite literally. The cannula, or tube, used in old-style liposuction is between four to six millimeters in diameter & necessitates an incision that has to be stitched. Once the excruciating process is completed, individuals can expect to wear compression bandages for at least 6 weeks. Often there can be unsightly unevenness underneath the epidermis where the fat was removed unevenly, especially in less experienced surgeons.

SmartLipo Benefits

With Smartlipo, by first melting away fat cells before vacuum elimination, overall trauma to surrounding tissue is minimized to a great extent. The individual’s energy and health are restored soon after surgery because soreness and healing time is kept to a minimum. Usually, it is only a few days and the expense is about 45% less than the time-honored liposuction. The weight loss surgery patient is not fully unconscious because of general anesthesia, so SmartLipo has much less complications than conventional liposuction surgery.

Folks having Smartlipo go through a much faster recuperation time with far less ailments when compared to earlier liposuction methods. This can be attributed to the laser that causes instant coagulation of the minute blood vessels in the fat tissue.

The laser surgery allows your Smart Lipo doctor to apply the minimally invasive procedure consistently to all areas being treated, using the laser as a guide. Smart Lipo precision allows for and consistently treated area, which gets better even more as the recovery time elapses and the outer skin shrinks throughout the place of subdermal fat removal.

Instead of the massive tubes and unpleasant doctor’s check-ups required of old-style liposuction, SmartLipo uses smaller tools & specialized technology to zap fat cells for contouring and re-sculpting areas of the physique including the neck, love handles, abdomen, backs, thighs, hips, knees, arms, & chin.

Compression Garments for SmartLipo Recovery

Compression garments also support the body in settling into its new appearance. Depending on the size of the physique that experiences SmartLipo, the physician could ask that compression garments be worn for a brief period of time in order to reduce inflammation and aid in recuperation. Yet the truth remains, compression garments do not need to be worn as long for SmartLipo as patient’s do in customary liposuction. Because there is not as much tissue disturbance & hemorrhaging in Smartlipo as that connected with conventional liposuction procedures, compression bandages are merely prescribed for approximately two weeks, purely precautionary for the best results achievable.

Rather than manually cutting the cannula through the area of fat removal as in liposuction, cosmetic bariatric surgeons make use of a lot narrower cannula (tubing that is 1 millimeter in diameter), that has a laser affixed to the end. In actuality, the insertion areas of the laser’s insertion points are not extremely perceptible & require no stitches. This is entirely the opposite of traditional liposuction where there will be a good bit of bruising from tissue injury created by the surgical cutting tool known as a cannula.

Beneficial “Side Effect of SmartLipo Laser Treatment

Collagen is the fibrous connective tissue that is used to hold bones, muscle, and other bodily tissues together and is found in abundance under the epidermis. As we age, collagen degrades in the in the lower layer of skin then the epidermis becomes increasingly furrowed.

The added outcome of undergoing SmartLipo surgery helping in the synthesis of collagen is a response to the light waves & the movement of the cannula. The energy directed by the laser to the area beneath the exterior of the body stimulates the development of collagen as almost like a “side effect” of the original treatment, but in this instance, it is a good side effect. The result is a tighter, more flattened look after full healing.

Smartlipo laser lipolysis is a minimally invasive procedure which utilizes a laser to zap unwelcome fat fast, whether located on the thighs, neck, breasts, face, arms, or back. In contrast to conventional liposuction, laser lipolysis specifically targets fat tissue, instantaneously melting it so it will be either drained with no trouble by a cannula device or otherwise absorbed by the body itself. The cannula (a slender medical tubing) doesn’t suck the adipose tissue out of the body forcefully, but merely acts as a drainage device.

The enduring effects of the laser lipo treatment are dazzling. From the laser utilized to melt the fat cells in sensitive body parts, to the sealing off of blood capillaries to decrease blood loss, and finally to the non-traumatizing of connective tissue is all advantageous to the patient. SmartLipo is a very smart choice for any person who has localized fat that needs to be surgically removed.

Avoid These Issues When Buying Used Automobiles

Friday, October 23rd, 2009

Nowadays, life can be pretty hard. Everything is increasing with prices escalating out of sight. This makes us all targets of scam artists and their frauds. This is really a big problem with big ticket items like automobiles.

Lets face it, people are out there that want to rip you off. One of the most common products that are targeted by scammers are used cars. Used cars are high dollar transactions that can bring a lot of easy money to the crooked seller. It is important that as a car buyer, you understand the most common ways that used car swindlers try to rip off innocent people.

Consequently, people who are buying used cars should also be aware of the different fraudulent activities being employed by unscrupulous people in order to have the best buy of used cars.

Car theft is a huge problem in this country. Fewer stolen vehicles are being recovered because of export rings and “chop shops”. Stolen cars are “stripped down” and sold for used auto parts. Sometimes the crooks even fit the cars with legitimate serial and registration numbers from old cars that had been destroyed previously. Stolen cars are sometimes discovered when a police officer apprehends the suspect for other reasons.

Here are some things to keep away from when purchasing used cars:

1. Old car buyers should avoid any transactions that are too good to be true. This will only make the matter worst if the bargain hunter believes that the deal is the most excellent used car trade ever.

2. Buyers should steer clear of purchasing old automobiles from sellers that do not make available a permanent address or the genuine work phone number so you can do a brief background check.

3. It is important for a purchaser to check on the VIN or the vehicle identification number plate. It must be firmly fastened onto the old car’s dashboard, with no rivets that are loosened. Loosened rivets would mean that the VIN plate does not fit or it has been previously removed.

4. Also, the buyer should also avoid purchasing used automobiles that have VIN plates that are touched up, its paint is newly retouched, and the numbers look as if they are not the original factory numbers. VIN plates can be without a doubt traded by a thief and make use of those that are taken from a wrecked vehicle.

5. As much as possible, it would be better to pass up purchasing a old car that is freshly painted. There are cases wherein the stolen cars identity is being changed through changing its original paint.

6. Used car buyers should keep away from purchasing cars from a seller that cannot present the cars insurance policy. This could indicate that the classic car is stolen or the peddler is not the rightful owner of the automobile.

It is extremely important for the consumers to take note of these thoughts prior to purchasing a used car. An ounce of prevention really is worth a pound of cure!
